Hi! I was in high school when some really clever person invented a product called "Pam." Oh, the ribbing I endured.....nothing sticks to you!
I was very happy when finally the world moved on to other things. And then came the famous Pamela Anderson jokes. Even at the airport in Malaga, Spain, at 4 in the morning I was ribbed by the Spainish passport checkers. I could not believe that they watch that stupid show all the way over in Spain.
And so even though I am not so exciting as the famous one, I will tell you a bit about me.
I am from the mountains of Virginia. My mother never learned to drive a car. My sister to this day cannot ride a bicycle. I come from a long line of techno-phobes. I am trying to overcme this handicap. And also my addiction to chocolate. I graduated from Virginia Tech several livetimes ago.
I married the most wonderful man on the planet. Imagine, little ol' Pam from the mountains married to the now retired Navy captain Lee Anderson.
I followed him all around the country for 24 incredibly adventurous years. We lived in Virginia, Maine, South Carolina, California, Washington state, returning to some of them several times. During these years I learned to ballroom dance, make baskets, play tennis and throw together a dinner party for 50 (often at the same time) without batting an eye. Did I learn to use computers? NO! But I am learlning now.
Oh, during those years we managed to produce two very sweet and totally awesome sons. They are 22 and 24 now.
I teach Spanish at the local high school during the school year and travel during the summers. Life is good! I have been blessed. I will add more to this bio if ever anything exciting happens to me. (provided I live through MATSL!) And now it is Wed I have survived another day! :)
