My name is Lisa Maupin and I live in Chicago with my husband and two sons. I was born in Nebraska, where I went to college and earned degrees in Elementary Education and in French. During my college years, I spent a year in Nantes, France, studying French culture, language and civilization. After finishing my studies, I moved to New York, where I worked for two years in classical music management, and one year for a film company. I then returned to France, this time to Paris, where I taught English at the Universite de Beauvais for two years, and then worked in a law firm as a bi-lingual legal assistant for an international lawyer. I returned to the US in the fall of 2001, where I began teaching French in a middle school in Chicago.

I enjoy traveling, reading, music,playing with my children and spending time out of doors.
