I'm Laura Paternoster and originally from Michigan. I have lived in Michigan's Upper Peninsula in Marquette - right on Lake Superior, as well as in the Grand Rapids area in southern Michigan. I graduated from Northern Michigan University, but now live in Manitowoc, Wisconsin - right on Lake Michigan. I live there with my husband, Norm, and our two cats - Maggie and Mr. Jingles. Our family is still in Michigan - both upper and lower - so we do quite a bit of travelling around and across The Lake. I teach classes of Introductory Spanish, Spanish III, as well as College Composition and Workplace Reading and Writing at Two Rivers High School. If that isn't enough, I also teach Spanish I and an Exploratory Spanish at the middle school in Two Rivers. With all of these classes and two different schools to teach in, you might guess that I have no life, and you would be right. However, I have found time to travel with my students to Mexico, Costa Rica, and Spain. I have been looking for a program to improve both my teaching and my Spanish for some time (in between my crazy work schedule), and was very excited to learn about Bennington's MATSL program.
